Sleeping during my period with a heavy flow for a long time?

Ok so its summer and I'm a high school so I LOVEto sleep in, my only problem is when I'm on my period, I really don't want to leak at night and I have a heavy flow. And its really agravating when I have to ge up multiple time to change a pad. I know there r risks if u wear tampons to bed but I've also heard od girls wearing tampons for yrs during theirperiod at night and having no problems. I'd rather not wear a tampon at night just in case especially ,considering I sleep for long periods of time but I will if I have to. But is there any methods that people have used to prevent leaking a night with a heavy flow whn u don't want to get up constantly throughout the night cuz u wanna sleep in? Please help ASAP
