Period while swimming?

okay so im going to my friends party and every1s going swimming but i have my periodd and id have any tampons ( i cant get any either by 6) plus id wear bathing suits (muslim-cause of religion) so im prlly gonna be wearing leggings or sweat pants and a shirt into the pool lol so i was wondering will it work if i wear like leggings or sweat pants (which would be better?) into the pool w/ a pad rather than tampon? ik your period stops while in the water but like will blood from the pad flow into the water (new pad but still)? will the blood go in the water evn tho im wearing sweatpants or leggings into the pool and a pad?
